Inmates in Wisconsin’s prisons are going to get copies of their mail from here on out.
The state’s Department of Corrections yesterday said it will no longer provide inmates with the original letters and cards because of drug concerns. Specifically, DOV says it wants to keep paper that’s been laced with synthetic marijuana, or “spice,” out of prisons. An outside company, and not prison guards, will do the copying.
