The jury will likely hear from Kyle Rittenhouse before his trial is over.
Rittenhouse’s lawyers say he plans to testify in his homicide case in Kenosha. Yesterday saw opening statements. Prosecutors say Rittenhouse instigated the situation that ended when he shot and killed two people and wounded a third back in August of 2020. Rittenhouse’s lawyers say the crowd was the instigator, and said one of the men Rittenhouse killed had threatened to kill him just a few minutes before the shooting. The trial will continue today.
