Opening statements begin this morning in the Wisconsin trial of Kyle Rittenhouse.
He’s the 18-year-old accused of shooting three men protesting against racial injustice last year, killing two. He claims self-defense, saying he went to Kenosha to protect businesses from looters. Prosecutors will argue he was a vigilante armed with a rifle. The entire jury was picked yesterday. The trial is expected to last two weeks.
