A traffic stop turned into a high-speed chase which ended with two sheriff’s deputies being assaulted with bear or pepper spray.
Police say the deputies tried to stop a car in Tomahawk late last night when the driver from La Crosse allegedly sprayed one deputy in the face and fled the scene. The chase exceeded speeds over 95 miles an hour and ended when the suspect crashed into someone’s front yard. The driver managed to spray the deputies again before being taken into custody.
