Xcel Energy customers in Wisconsin could be next to see their power bills go up.
The company yesterday asked Minnesota’s Public Utilities Commission for a 20 percent electric rate hike. Xcel says that would add another 20 dollars to the average homeowner’s power bill. Xcel says it needs to charge customers more to cover the cost of adding new green energy power sources.
