The heated debate of where to find the best cheese curds in the state is finally over.
Travel Wisconsin received more than 19-hundred restaurant nominations for the “Crown The Curd” competition, narrowing it down to three categories.
And the winners are…
They named Culver’s as the best cheese curd with six or more locations.
The Great Dane Pub and Brewing won the multiple locations category, with restaurants in Dane County and one in Wausau.
After receiving 18-thousand votes, the best single location curd went to Monroe Optimist Deep Fried Cheese Curds.
