A wounded Kenosha County police dog is heading home after being shot.
Riggs, the sheriff’s K9, was hit in the head with a bullet during a shooting last week. Veterinarians say it’s a miracle the dog survived, the bullet essentially went around his skull. There is a scar and some shaved fur, but other than that Riggs is happy and healthy. The sheriff’s department is holding-out hope that he will be able to return to work at some point.
