Many Wisconsin residents are changing the way they dial phone numbers.
Starting today, residents with the two-six-two, four-one-four, six-zero-eight and nine-two-zero area codes have to use all ten digits when making local calls. Those with five-four-three and seven-one-five area codes were already required to use all ten numbers.
The change comes as the Federal Communications Commission launches the number nine-eight-eight as a new national suicide and mental health helpline.
