Local law enforcement are searching for two suspects they say crashed into a squad car while fleeing police early this morning.
Officers with the Town of Madison Police Department responded to the area near South Sunnyvale Lane for a report of someone shooting out of a car. When police spotted the suspect’s vehicle, which had been stolen from Janesville, the suspects crashed into a squad car while trying to escape. Both suspects fled on foot afterwards. Officers also found a loaded rifle inside the car. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Town of Madison Police Department or Madison Area Crime Stoppers.
