It’s the clearest sign yet that Wisconsin’s next political map is headed for court.
Governor Tony Evers said on UPFRONT over the weekend that he will veto any map from Republicans lawmakers that is gerrymandered. The governor isn’t saying what his threshold for gerrymandering is, but is promising a veto nonetheless. The governor said he thinks Wisconsin can get fair maps if the court draws them. Republicans are preparing to draw the state’s new map that will set boundaries for Congress and statehouse seats. It will go to Evers after they’re done.
