A Wisconsin man is pleading guilty to illegally transporting a black bear carcass from Canada to North Dakota.
Officials report Joseph Stolarczyk reached a plea deal after being caught exceeding the Manitoba bag limit by killing two bears in the same year. According to court documents, Stolarczyk pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of unlawful transportation of wildlife in foreign commerce, and could face a hefty 100-thousand dollar fine as well as a year behind bars.
