There’s DNA, but as of yet, there’s no Asian Carp in the Milwaukee River.
State and federal researchers yesterday said they found the DNA of the invasive fish in the river. They say that raises some concerns. There is a multi-billion-dollar effort to keep Asian Carp out of Lake Michigan out of fears that the fish could decimate native fish and ruin parts of the lake. State scientists say they haven’t found carp DNA in a Wisconsin river since 2014. They hope they don’t find more.
