The University of Wisconsin-Madison is changing the name of the football field.
Chancellor Rebecca Black said yesterday the renaming becomes effective with the 2022 season. The football field at Camp Randall Stadium will be known as Barry Alvarez Field at Camp Randall Stadium. Chancellor Black says the name change honors the college’s former head football coach and athletic director. Alvarez retired in June after a career spanning more than three decades.
