There’s another thing for deer hunters to be on the look-out for in western Wisconsin.
The state’s Department of Natural Resources says it’s found epizootic hemorrhagic disease in samples from deer in La Crosse County. The disease is not harmful to people, but it can kill deer. Many deer with the disease try to cool down in the water, so many deer carcasses are found near the water. DNR is asking hunters to report any deer they may find with the disease.
