No injuries were reported and a cat was rescued by Firefighters.
The Eau Claire Fire Department responded to a fire alarm within the Oxbow apartment complex. On arrival, crews found smoke in a hallway on the second floor; upon further investigation fire was located in apartment #235.
Additional fire crews were requested to assist with fire attack, search, and ventilation assignments. Crews extinguished and confined the fire to the single apartment. One cat was rescued by Engine 2 personnel and no injuries were reported.
The fire remains under investigation by fire department personnel.
