A Racine Police officer is recovering after a suspected drunk driver crashed into her squad car.
The wreck happened yesterday near 16th Street and Memorial Drive. The officer was blocking traffic when a red box truck hit her car and kept driving. The officer went to the hospital with pain to her ribs. Other Racine officers stopped the driver and took him to jail. They say he was three-times the legal limit when they pulled him over.
