All of the Wisconsin counties with ‘critically high’ coronavirus activity are small counties, and more than half of them are in the western part of the state.
Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services yesterday said eight counties are now in the ‘critically high’ category. Washburn, Barron, Rusk, Buffalo, Trempealeau, Forest, Oconto, and Green Lake counties are all on the list. They all have what DHS says is ‘critically high burden,’ but that may be a reflection of population as much as anything. Most of the rest of the state simply has a very high burden.
