A protester, who police say had a flame thrower, will be spending the next 90 days in jail.
Officials report Matthew Banta was convicted of misdemeanor counts of obstructing and bail jumping today. Banta was apart protests in the wake of the shooting of Jacob Blake last month. Police say Bata ignored police commands to stop before ultimately being arrested. On Banta’s person, police claimed finding a flamethrower, but he has disputed that, saying it was a hand torch without a propulsion system.
