A school in the Oregon district is the first in Wisconsin to become a net zero energy school.
Forest Edge Elementary uses a geothermal source to heat and cool the buildings and solar panels on the roof to produce electricity. The school produced the same amount of energy it consumed this past year. Community members are invited to visit the school during a special open house scheduled for September 28th.
