Alcohol sales are way up in Wisconsin and a new report suggests it has a lot to do with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Wisconsin Policy Forum released data today showing that revenue from state taxes on alcohol increased 17-percent during the fiscal year that ended June 30th. The stress over job losses and reduced social activities are just a couple of factors the report suggests contributed to the rise in drinking in the state.
