They need volunteer firefighters in Chippewa County.
Chippewa Fire District deputy chief Cory Jeffers says they’ve lost about 25 percent of their 36 volunteers because of the coronavirus or other circumstances this year. He said they’ve gone from having two dozen firefighters for each fire, to having as few as six. Jeffers says there is a real need for people to step-up and help. It’s a volunteer position, but you can make as much as 25 thousand-dollars a year, depending on how many fire calls you respond to. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO.
