Back to the Redrawing Board

Wisconsin’s election managers are looking to take the first step toward drawing a new political map this week.

The state’s Elections Commission will meet Thursday to talk about the redistricting process. Wisconsin lawmakers have to draw a new political map based on the 2020 Census, those Census numbers were delivered last month. Wisconsin is expecting a heavily-politicized court fight over the new map. Lawmakers are supposed to have the new map drawn in time for next spring’s elections.
