Return to Randall Doesn’t Bring a “W” for WI

Penn State takes one away from the Badgers in Wisconsin’s home opener at Camp Randall.

Over 70-thousand fans were back in the stadium after nearly two years of COVID-19 triggered absence to watch the Nittany Lions defeat Wisconsin 16-10 yesterday.  Badgers quarterback Graham Mertz hit 22 of 37 passes for 185-yards and two interceptions in the loss.  Next Saturday, Wisconsin is still at home to meet Eastern Michigan while Penn State hosts Ball State also on September 11th.

Police make arrests and issue citations to students during the Badgers 10-16 loss to Penn State yesterday.

A dozen citations were handed out, most for underage drinking.  The report says nearly two dozen people were ejected from the stadium while eleven-students were arrested.
