One local bar is turning a tribute to 13 fallen soldiers into an opportunity to remember all members of the U.S. armed forces who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
This weekend, Loopy’s Grill and Saloon in Chippewa Falls reserved a table for 13 with 13 beers poured in honor of those soldiers killed in the deadly attack in Kabul last week. In addition to the symbolic gesture, the owner of Loopy’s is matching any donations made toward local veterans organizations. Owner William Kleich says it’s not just the tragic loss in Afghanistan last week, but also all of those who have died while serving our country.
