Governor Tony Evers is being filled-in on the operation surrounding the housing of Afghan refugees at Fort McCoy.
The governor visited Fort McCoy today to hear about the planning and medical processing by federal military personnel and to get updates on Operation Allies Refuge. The governor also had a chance to meet some of the Afghanis who arrived this week from their war-torn nation.
The governor says our allies from Afghanistan have a long road ahead of them but Wisconsin will continue to extend support and assistance to those who contributed to our nation’s efforts over the past 20 years. CLICK FOR MORE FROM FORT MCCOY.
