Today is start of something new in Barron County.
With the help of Stacy Witkowski’s family they have started a peace garden in front of the Justice Center in honor of Stacy. Today a group connected and planted the 1st tree.
This is for anyone and everyone to start to enjoy. They say their goal was to create a safe place for all survivors to rest, reflect or use the space to visit with someone. Over time the hope is to add more seating, flowers and see the space grow so everyone can relax and regroup.
The department thanked the family of Stacy Witkowski for the idea and help.
