We still do not know how many Afghan refugees are coming to Wisconsin, but they are arriving.
The commander at Fort McCoy yesterday said the first refugees arrived at the base. Brigadier General Chris Norrie said one-thousand soldiers are at the base to help deal with the people arriving from Afghanistan. Governor Tony Evers has said anywhere from ‘a few hundred’ to up to two-thousand refugees will land in Wisconsin.
