A Greenfield Police officer is in critical but stable condition after getting shot in the chest during a traffic stop very early yesterday morning.
The driver initially sped away, but crashed into another car just blocks away. That’s when police say he started shooting. One officer was wounded, while two other officers shot back and killed the suspect. Investigators are not saying why the officer stopped the driver, why the driver sped away, or why he started shooting at the police.
