The University of Wisconsin Green Bay has quietly dropped one of its best basketball players from its Hall of Fame.
The school is not commenting but did confirm yesterday that Bryan Boettcher is no longer being remembered at the school. Boettcher was a star at UW-Green Bay in the mid-70s, but he has been removed because he pleaded guilty last week to possessing child pornography. Boettcher pleaded no contest to a case that could send him to prison for more than three years. There’s no connection between Boettcher’s case and the university, but the school made the decision to drop him from the hall of fame nonetheless.
