The woman who nearly starved her dog to death back in 2019 will not go to jail.
A judge in Menomonie yesterday sentenced Anne Iehl to two years probation. Iehl was convicted back in May of not feeding the dog, now named Gabriel. Animal rescuers say the dog weighed just 23 pounds when they found him. Iehl says she wasn’t financially stable enough to take care of the dog on her own. The dog is now with a new family, and the Humane Society says he’s doing well.
