The chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin is stepping down.
In a statement released today, Andrew Hitt says he wants to spend more time with his family and focus on his private sector career. He is a partner at Milwaukee-based Michael Best Strategies. Hitt took over as party chair following the 2018 statewide losses. The party’s Executive Committee meets on September 11th and is expected to elect his replacement at that time.
