Governor Tony Evers joins other governors in support of a chemical cleanup effort.
Evers and the governors of New York, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Michigan signed a letter of support for the PFAS Action Act this week. WMTV reported yesterday the measure passed the U.S. House of Representatives earlier this week and goes now to the Senate. The PFAS Action Act calls for the federal government to intervene in favor of mitigation of PFAS chemicals leaked into the environment.
PFAS chemicals are used in the manufacture of kitchen ware, firefighting foam and other products.
