Wolf hunters in Wisconsin could get a better sense of what this year’s hunt will look like by the end of the day.
The state’s Department of Natural Resources is set to meet today to talk about their wolf management plan. Wisconsin is required to host a wolf hunt every year, but the DNR is looking to possibly shrink this year’s hunt. Regulators say last year’s hunt was faster and more successful than they planned for. Advocates say too many wolves were killed. Wisconsin’s wolf hunt is supposed to begin in November.
