A rare discovery is made in Appleton.
A Lawrence University biology professor says an endangered bee has been seen near a downtown home. Israel Del Toro says it is a Rusted Patched Bumblebee which he says has never been seen in Northeast Wisconsin. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service lists the bumblebee as an endangered species, making it federally protected.
