Barron County’s sheriff says a Wednesday night standoff ended with one man being shot by deputies.
It happened in the town of Mikana. The sheriff says the man who was shot had threatened a neighbor and barricaded himself in his room. The sheriff says a deputy shot and wounded the man when he pointed a gun at the sheriff’s team. The man who was shot is reportedly in critical condition. The state’s Department of Justice is investigating the shooting.
