Governor Tony Evers announces what he calls a groundbreaking investment in workforce solutions.
The governor visited Titletown Tech in Green Bay today and talked about the 130-million-dollar investment for three programs. There is 100-million-dollars for a Workforce Innovation grant program looking for long-term answers to the employment challenges in the aftermath of COVID-19. Twenty-million will go to a program to subsidize employment and skills training and ten-million dollars will be used for a worker connection program to provide career coaches for those looking to get back into the workforce.
