Altoona’s former superintendent is likely headed to prison for 10 years under a plea deal in his child pornography case.
Daniel Peggs pleaded guilty in federal court yesterday to one count of child pornography. As part of the deal, federal prosecutors are dropping the other charges in the case. Peggs’ agreement means prosecutors will ask for the maximum sentence, which is 10 years in prison.
Peggs admitted to having pictures of underage girls on his phone and computer.
