Governor Tony Evers is accepting applications for Eau Claire County’s new D.A..
The governor is looking to replace Gary King who announced his resignation last Friday. King is leaving amid complaints that he was drunk and abusive on the job. His last day in the prosecutor’s office is August 14th. The new district attorney will serve out the rest of King’s term, which ends in 2025.
