The state of Wisconsin is going to pay some people’s internet bills.
Governor Evers yesterday expanded the state’s Rental Assistance Program to include internet costs. The governor says the coronavirus has proven just how necessary the internet is. To qualify for a state payment, people must have lost their job or lost some hours at work, be in danger of losing their home, and make below no more than 57-thousand-dollars a year for a family of four. Republican lawmakers say the governor is squandering the state’s coronavirus stimulus money.
