Happy Independance Day!
After sitting out last year, more people are ready to kick this holiday weekend off with a bang.
America’s airports are only getting busier this holiday weekend.
The TSA says nearly two-point-two million people went through security checkpoints at the nation’s airports on Friday. It was a jump of about 50-thousand from Thursday’s numbers when Americans began getting away for the Independence day weekend. It was also slightly higher than July 2nd of 2019.
The White House will be hosting about a thousand people today for Fourth of July hamburgers and fireworks.
President Biden is expected to make remarks at the event on the White House lawn, which will include military families and essential workers who helped during the pandemic. There will also be a 17-minute fireworks display over the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
