Free COVID-19 testing services will be available next year for all schools in the state.
Governor Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services made that announcement today. Schools and school districts need to complete a survey available on the DHS website by July 9th. There will be a variety of testing available and schools can choose which one is best for them. The program is federally funded and will allow the Department of Health Services to connect public, private and charter schools with testing partners.
Overall, here in our state the seven-day average of confirmed cases and deaths from COVID-19 are inching downward.
New confirmed cases are down to 69 a day which is five fewer than yesterday. New deaths have dropped from two-a-day to one-a-day. The vaccination rate however has stalled with less than 50-percent of residents receiving any amount of the vaccine. CLICK HERE FOR MORE FROM WI DHS.
