The Wisconsin Lake Michigan coastline is expected to be designated as a National Marine Sanctuary.
Governor Tony Evers tweeted today he’s excited that NOAA is advancing the designation of the Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary. If approved the designation would protect 36 shipwrecks off the Wisconsin Coast.
