A longtime lawyer at the state’s Department of Administration is leading the investigation into Eau Claire County’s district attorney.
Governor Evers on Friday named William Ramsey to oversee the case against D.A. Gary King. A number of people in the D.A.’s office say King harassed them, was drunk on the job, inappropriate, and made their work for the county much more difficult. The governor’s commissioner will hold a hearing into the claims.
Appointing a commissioner is the first step towards possibly removing King from office.
