A lawsuit from two Wisconsin farmers has stopped the Biden Administration from sending money to farmers based on race.
The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty sued on behalf of the Wisconsin farmers and 12 others. Their lawsuit says the loan forgiveness program that targets Black and other minority farmers breaks federal law by making race a factor in deciding who gets government money. The Biden Administration announced the program earlier this year as a way to right past wrongs. WILL’s lawsuit says the federal government cannot discriminate, even if the intentions are good.
