Wisconsin’s governor is now involved in the investigation into Eau Claire County’s district attorney.
Governor Evers yesterday appointed a commissioner to look into claims that D.A. Gary King was drunk on the job, abusive toward co-workers, and interfered with cases. Appointing a commissioner is the first step toward possibly removing King from office. Several former D.A. office employees have filed complaints against King for his behavior. King has said there is evidence that supports his side of the story in each case.
