The Catholic Church in Milwaukee is not going to be a part of Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul’s investigation into years-old sexual abuse claims.
The Milwaukee Archdiocese yesterday said it will not turn over church documents or cooperate with investigators. The church’s lawyer says Kaul’s investigation ‘appears to be a product of anti-Catholic bigotry.’ Kaul announced his investigation into Catholic churches across the state in April. Catholic leaders said at the time that Kaul is only investigating them, and not other churches.
