An early morning crash turns deadly.
Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash with injuries in St. Croix County on Interstate 94 at Mile Post 16 just before 5:30 on the morning of Sunday, May 23rd.
The driver and passenger were transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. The passenger was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Preliminary evidence from the crash scene indicates the vehicle was westbound on Interstate 94 and drifted towards the median. The vehicle entered the median and rolled over. Both the driver, a 38 year old from West Virginia and 39 year old passenger were ejected from the vehicle. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
