Not every piece of Wisconsin’s next state budget is going to involve a knockdown, drag-out fight with the governor.
The Republicans who are writing the next budget yesterday said there’s plenty of agreement with the governor on what should be included in the state’s next spending plan. That includes spending on tourism, election security, and internet projects. Lawmakers are holding off on the internet spending for now. State Senator Howard Marklein yesterday said he wants to see the governor’s plan before lawmakers agree to anything.
