Republicans in the Wisconsin Assembly want Governor Tony Evers to send the National Guard to Texas and Arizona.
State Rep. Tyler August yesterday led the push to pass a resolution calling on the governor to send wherever aid he can to states along the southern border. State Rep. Jim Steineke said the governor didn’t hesitate to send troops to Washington, D.C. back in January. Steineke said the governor shouldn’t hesitate this time either. The resolution does not force the governor to do anything.
