Birdwatchers should be on the lookout for new species migrating into Wisconsin right about now.
The state Department of Natural Resources says Baltimore orioles, ruby-throated hummingbirds, rose-breasted grosbeaks, indigo buntings, and scarlet tanagers, are making a return. They’ve been mostly visible in the southern half of the state, so far. The department says several species of bird are making their way back to Wisconsin for the summer. Sightings can be reported online.
